Drop-in Restorative Classes

Restorative Stations is held on Thursday night, 7-8:15 PM (1 x monthly - generally the final Thursday of the month). It is held at Yoga North in Duluth MN. Space fills up so you must reserve your spot on-line at Yoga North.
Yin Yoga is held on Friday night, 5:15-6:30 PM. Meets weekly at Yoga North Drop-ins welcome.

What to expect in an open Restorative class

Restorative Stations: A relaxing, meditative class which uses props to allow a gentle opening in the body. Most poses are experienced while laying or sitting on the floor. In my open class, I set up the room before hand. I set up 5 stations of 4 spots each. I like to include a forward fold, a twist, an inversion and at least one heart-center opener. Each person will get to experience each pose. I time each posture and direct the students on when to switch sides and when to come out. Before class starts I demonstrate each pose: how to get in, how to make adjustments for maximum comfort, what pose to take if the one offered is not available to you, and how to get out again. Class runs 75 minutes and includes a long Savasana with a deep relaxation exercise. Yoga North has a thick carpet we roll out for Restorative class so you do not need to bring props to class - not even your mat - but I do recommend wearing warm clothes. For more info visit my FAQ page. To see an example of a class flow plan click here. And to see an informational flyer click here.

Yin Yoga: Uses traditional Hatha poses, mostly seated or reclining postures which allow a deep stretch, combined with Restorative style poses, which use multiple props to support the body, and therapeutic yoga, all which allow a deep opening in the body. All poses will be held longer than in a regular Hatha class - around 5 minutes per pose. The dynamic of the class will be meditative, focusing on the breath and using the breath to find opening and ease in the body. We will each stay in our own spot vs. moving around the room like we do for Restorative Stations.

Availability and price

Prices vary at Yoga North from $8.50 - $12.50 per class, depending on if you are a student or senior, if you have a punchcard, or if you are a one-time, drop-in student. Looking forward to seeing you there. Namaste.

Private Restorative Classes

Treat yourself to a Private Restorative Yoga Session. Perfect activity for a birthday party, healing circle/support group, a celebration, family get-together, reunions with friends, wedding party events, etc. Lessons run 90 minutes and can be held at your location or at Yoga North Studio in Duluth, MN. If you choose to have your private class at Yoga North you do not have to bring any props to class - not even your mat. If you choose to have me come to your location you will need to provide your own props: 2-3 pillows and 1-2 blankets for each person will do fine. Although more props are better. See my workshops page for an idea of how many props it would take to make a really luxurious practice.

Availability and price

Weekends and weekdays available. Price: 1-3 people $80; 4-10 people $100; more than 10 = $100 base price plus $10/ea person. Maximum group size is 20 if class is held at Yoga North.
See my contact page to get in touch. Looking forward to working with you. Namaste.

Drop-in, On-site, or Private Lessons in Hatha, Yin, Core and Therapeutic

I teach at a variety of locations around Duluth - see my schedule page for my current teaching schedule and list of classes. I have detailed which ones are drop-in and which are private. If you are interested in a private session, I am available to teach at your location or at Yoga North Studio in Duluth, MN. If you choose to have your private class at Yoga North you do not have to bring any props to class - not even your mat. If you choose to have me come to your location you will need to provide your own props: a yoga mat, 1-2 blocks, and 1 belt per person.

What to expect in a private class

Private classes will focus on what interests you and what I see in your body that might need some attention.

What to expect in an on-site class

I will come to your place of business to teach yoga for an individual or a group. We can do a series, workshop, or one-time class. I can do a single style yoga class or a hybrid style (i.e. combo Hatha/Yin, Hatha/Core, Hatha/Therapeutic, Therapeutic/Core, etc.).

Availability and price

Varies depending on location, number of students and length of contract (for example, one class vs. an 8 week series). See my contact page to get in touch. Looking forward to working with you. Namaste.
